At Lil’ Red Barn Academy, we believe that children are best served in a stimulating environment that encourages creative and developmental growth appropriate to each child’s individual needs. Lil Red Barn Academy provides activities to enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical and creative development.
We accept children of all races, creeds, colors and national origins between 12 months and 6 years of age. We embrace the diversity that families bring to our center.
Through hands on experiences, children create, explore, solve problems, and learn to interact with others as part of their daily schedule. Children develop a positive self- concept through a balance of self and teacher-directed play. The children will also have opportunities for individual play as well as group activities.
We recognize that parents are the primary and most important provider of their child’s nurturing. We see our role as partners with parents in their children’s education and care. Our staff serves as positive role models while providing supportive, nurturing and responsive care for each child unique needs.
We take great pride in our meals and nutrition. It is important to us that the meals and snacks we provide for the children in our care are healthy and well-balanced. We follow the USDA food program guidelines with whole grains, balanced servings of fruits vegetables and low sugar yogurts, cereals, and all other items. We serve breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and evening snack. Sample menus for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are provided as an example. The menus are made monthly and do rotate and vary monthly. We have a full kitchen, and everything is cooked in house by a staff member. All staff members are knowledgeable and certified in current food handling guidelines. We use fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables as well. If your child has an allergy to certain foods or a milk allergy, we will work with you to accommodate their needs.

The Center is open Monday- Friday from 6:30am-6:00pm. We are closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, MLK Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
